A Rose of Eternal Love

This story is about Roxana Maria, I know Roxana since she was born, her parents are my best friends. She is 26 years old, very beautiful girl, tall light brown hair with dark brown highlights, her eyes were green like an emerald, she also comes from a very rich family, but not to spoil it at all. Roxana just grauated from a very famous Medical School in Madrid, Spain where she lives with her parents Maria and Alejandro and her younger sister Alexandra, 18 years of age.

And here is where the story begins. Roxana's mom said, "Do you know that the Pediatric Clinic where you finished your training as a pediatrician called several times asking if you would like to work for them; what do you think about that Roxana?" "Well mom, I will be more than happy to work for them, only if I knew Carlos Salgado my ex-boyfriend was not working there. You know that mom how much I loved him, not anymore." Roxana told her mother, but of course, her mother looked at her and said, "and you still do honey, you cannot lie to me, mothers know everything. we can read our daughters' minds easy, remember that."

"Do you know mom that Carlos is not the only one of the top pediatricians in this clinic, he is also the main owner and director of such institution" Roxana informed her mom. "So why did you ended up your relationship with him, if you loved Carlos so much, everything happened so fast, as I remembered Roxana, Carlos was very much in love with you." Maria remembered. "Yes mom, but Carlos was very jealous of Rolando, just because he invited me two or three times out for lunch, Carlos knows that Rolando was just a friend from Medical School, a classmate, that's all." Roxana said in a bit of mixed tone of voice. "Roxana, this is just from your point of view, I understand that, however, don't forget that Rolando was in love with you too, so it was normal of him to be jealous." Maria told her daughter.

"Yes Mom, even so, Carlos knew very well I was not in love with Rolando." Roxana advised her mother then asked, Mom, do you think is a good idea to work where Carlos is at?" Maria looked at her daughter with a smile, "Why not daughter, he still loves you, even if he does not want to show how he feels about you. "Yes, but chances are he is not going to treat me nice from now on, like he used to. I am a little bit afraid, concern to face him again." Roxana said to her mother in a scared tone. "You know why you feel like that honey?" Roxana's mother asked as he daughter shaked her head as no, "well then let me tell you why, it is because you still have feelings for him." she told her daughter. "Oh no mom, you are all wrong, I haven't seen Carlos for almost three years, maybe he is going out with another girl now, you never know." Roxana disagreed with her mother. "Well Roxana, only time will tell what is going to happen." Maria tries to convince her. "Yes mom, perhapps you are right, so next week I am going to start working at the Pediatric Clinic where Carlos works at and I will face him with no fear at all." Roxana made her decision. "I will be very proud of you Roxana if you do so." Roxana's mother said to her proudly.

The following week Roxana Maria began to get up very early in the morning, even though she was not able to sleep well in view of the fact she was going to see Carlos soon. It was raining very hard when all of the sudden the elevator opened without warning, she could not believe her eyes when she saw Carlos there coming out of the elevator and staring right at her in such a way; she was so scared, and at the same time happy to see the man she always loved so much. Carlos observed Roxana very close and said to himself, 'it is obvious that Roxana is tense, frightened, and at the same time shy, and I likes her because of that. Why? because I think she still loves me and I still love her.'

Finally, Carlos interrupted the silence between the two of them and said to Roxana, "Mi Amor, what is happening to you?" Roxana looked at him and asked, "Why you call me "Mi Amor" Carlos?" "Because I am still in love with you Roxana." Carlos said in a loving way which Roxana shakes her head. "How can I believe this since you left me without giving me any explanation?" Roxana asked in a bit of an angry way. "Roxana, you know very well I was very jealous of Rolando, seeing both of you having lunch together two or three times while I was your steady boyfriend, and I did not like that. Rolando was very much in love with you and you knew that." Carlos told her in a jealous way. "Yes Carlos, you are right, but I was never in love with him, to me, he was only a classmate, and Rolando was aware of that, he did understand how I felt and how much I loved you, and he also knew he was only a friend, that's all, besides, he has a girlfriend, and very much in love with her. So what is the problem Carlos?
